We have a fair bit happening at Wide Bay Equestrian Park over the coming months including clinics, new programs and more.
We have just had our arena completely resurfaced! Back of the stables replaced and new horses brought into the school team.

HORSE RIDING LESSONS
 

Horse riding is one of the few sports which require the partnership with an animal!
What better way to get fit, socialise, learn, and be active than to be on horseback!
We don't think there is any other better way!

Our horse riding lessons are tailored to suit each and every individual which drives through our gates!
​At Wide Bay Equestrian Park we’re passionate about giving hands on lessons that allow you to build your skills, make friends, or to prepare you for the competition world - its your choice!

Whether your have never ridden a horse before, or your were born on horseback, we have an instructor (and horse) to suit your level of riding!

Specialising in nervous, or beginner riders we can start you from the beginning teach you all the fundamental skills to be able to allow you to choose your own disicpline, whether that be the beautiful dressage,  sporting, showjumping, or the daring eventing- You tell us, and we'll get you there.
Or if you prefer to just go trail riding, but learn it all safely and take it all easy- that can be taught too!

With our instructors competing at State and National level competitions (and successfully so) we have the experience & are only happy to help be apart of your journey.

We supply HORSE & HELMET to all clients, all the rider needs to bring is:
Jodpurs (or comforable stretchy pants, jeans are often used)
A water bottle
Shirt with sleeves (to protect against UV rays)
Sunscreen/insect repellent if desired.

We also can do lessons on your own horse, so if its horse & rider wanting the lesson, we have stables available which can be occupied by your horse whilst your lesson is not in progress.
Please note: If you are bringing your own horse it is mandatory that they be up to date on their worming as all horses on the property follow a strict worming routine.

We also offer horse care tutorials where we can teach the correct way of mounting/dismounting, saddling/unsaddling, horse nutrition, stable work etc.
This can be done in addition to your lesson, or simply alone (without a lesson)

LESSON PRICES:
Private lesson (1 instructor: 1 student)
duration: 45 minutes > 1 hr (depending on rider fitness)
cost: $50

Group Lesson (1 instructor : 2-3 students)
duration: 45 minutes > 1 hr (depending on rider/s fitness)
Cost: $45

SUNDAY STAY
Last Sunday of every month. Unless otherwise advised. Please contact us as booking is mandatory.

Our monthly Sunday Stay is fast becoming a popular day for the kids!
Its designed for our regular students to put everything they've learnt from their private lessons
into practice in a group filled with younger students with the same interest!
It is generally for students aged 7-17, boys and girls!!
The day runs from 8am > 1pm usually at the end of every month (weather pending).
After their lesson they head down to the stables to learn everything else horsey!
How to wash, how to brush, how to saddle/unsaddle, mount dismount, lunge, braid, clean stables and so so much more!

With a 45- 1hr break in between the kids can go for supervised swim in the dams, grab something to eat, and socialise even more!

We provide some nibbles and cordial however it is advised to bring anything extra they may like for lunch
-a water bottle
- a hat & sunscreen
- spare clothes (if  they dont want their riding gear dirty- but isnt that apart of the fun?)
- swimmers & towel.
- and anything extra they may like to bring!

The day is only $65 Includes riding lesson, nibbles, drinks

Please further note: If you have put your name down and not given any notice prior to the day for cancellation you will be invoiced for the day, failure to give us notice does not allow us to fill that space to other interested students.
